ABOUT SARAH:
Sarah was born and raised in Southern California and began playing the violin when she was just six years old. She began taking violin lessons at a local music studio and continued her music education through college and earned her degree in Violin Performance from California State University Northridge under the guidance of Lorenz Gamma. Over the years, Sarah's love towards music and it's importance began to take form based on her own experience as a student, performer, and teacher. From teaching in her living room, to working as a string teacher with the award winning program Children’s Music Workshop, Sarah has had the pleasure of working with and teaching children from a variety of different backgrounds. One of Sarah’s core beliefs as a teacher and performer is that music education should be available to all. Sarah loves creating a positive atmosphere for her students to learn in while encouraging students to strive for excellence and honor their craft. With a performance history ranging from the streets of Budapest to Carnegie Hall, Sarah has a wide range of performances and collaborations that she uses to not only inspire her students, but to show them that they never know where their musical journey will take them. ABOUT KITTY:
Kitty O’Neill began playing violin at ten years old and picked up viola at thirteen. She has performed on both violin and viola in orchestras, musical theater ensembles, sacred settings, as well as chamber quartets and trios. Kitty attended Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame where she studied viola with Dr. Rose Wollman. Since graduating in 2022, Kitty has taught public school orchestra classes for grades 6-12. She has experience starting beginners as well as guiding intermediate and advanced players through repertoire that expands their abilities. Natalie Bateman began her musical journey at the age of 5, learning both the piano and violin. She learned piano from her grandmother and violin from her mother, and is excited to continue that family legacy. After two years at Brigham Young University, she's now pursuing a Bachelors in Music Education at Western Washington University. With nearly a decade of teaching experience, Natalie has shared her passion for music both in private lessons and by directing and coaching orchestras. Her teaching philosophy centers on fostering a love for music by tailoring lessons to each student's unique strengths and interests. She strives to maintain a high bar for technique and theory skills while making lessons fun. Natalie teaches piano lessons in Mount Vernon, WA and online.

ABOUT KRISTEN:
Kristen has spent the last 27 years in the Greater Houston area teaching, conducting, and performing. For 16 years she performed with “Global Dance Theatre” at the Texas Renaissance Festival as the lead violinist, composer, and arranger. Kristen also actively performed with the Celtic duo “Earl Grey in the Morning” both regionally and nationally. Kristen now resides in Lyden Washington and continues to teach and perform.

ABOUT TASA:
Tasa Kaiyala Weaver brings nearly 30 years of teaching, coaching and playing experience to EMS, with a special ability to inspire and grow students of any age and ability. Tasa began violin at just 18 months old, was performing by age 3, and was in intensive chamber and orchestral studies soon after. Having moved back to the Pacific Northwest in 2016 to live near her children, Mrs. Weaver spent the past twelve years as Violin Faculty at Pipestone School of Music in Twisp, WA. Tasa was Conductor of the Pipestone Youth Orchestra for 7 years, Conductor of the Pipestone Orchestra for 4 years, facilitated the music scholarship program and yearly summer music camps, led the Tamarack String Quartet, performed regular recitals, soloed multiple times with both orchestras in Okanogan County and is a composer with a performance project in the works on-line. Tasa has premiered several of her pieces and won numerous awards and performance competitions including 1st place at the WA state solo & ensemble competition, and 2nd place at the Seattle Young Artist competition. Formerly, Tasa was a member of the Pipestone Orchestra, Okanogan Valley Orchestra, Wenatchee Valley Symphony, Everett Philharmonic, Whatcom Symphony and Chamber Orchestra as well as Starry Night Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra and String Quartet. Mrs. Weaver has been the Viola Coach for the Fidalgo Youth Symphony, and Faculty at Sounds of Summer Music Festival. Tasa teaches violin in Mount Vernon, WA and online.

ABOUT PEYTON:
For over a decade Peyton has assisted students in fulfilling their life-long dreams or taking their first steps in music. Her piano and violin students have ranged from ages 4 to adult and from beginner to advanced levels. Over the years, she has had the privilege of working with a diverse set of students, including those with developmental challenges and impaired mobility. These experiences have taught her to be adaptive and creative in the moment, and how to engineer lesson plans that best accommodate her students. In High School Peyton played violin in the Tacoma Youth Symphony and Pierce College Orchestra. After graduating high school with an Associate of Arts Degree, Peyton studied Piano performance and Music Composition at Western Washington University, where she was also a member of the Western Washington University symphony and University Treble Choir. Peyton presently works in the greater Bellingham area, as a freelance performer, composer, and private piano and violin instructor while completing her Music Composition degree for Film, TV, and Video Games at Berklee Online. Peyton teaches piano lessons in Mount Vernon, WA and online.
