ABOUT BRITTANY:

Brittany began her musical journey starting piano lessons at 8 years old. Along with classical training, she learned a wide range of musical styles and enjoys playing all genres of music to this day. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music at the Oregon Center of the Arts under the tutelage of Dr. Alexander Tutunov. Brittany most recently taught at the Colorado Springs Conservatory, teaching piano, music theory, and music enrichment to kids of all ages. She has also been active as a piano accompanist and composer. She has several original compositions and has also composed for theater and film production. ABOUT KRISTEN:

Kristen has spent the last 27 years in the Greater Houston area teaching, conducting, and performing.  For 16 years she performed with “Global Dance Theatre” at the Texas Renaissance Festival as the lead violinist, composer, and arranger. Kristen also actively performed with the Celtic duo “Earl Grey in the Morning” both regionally and nationally.  Kristen now resides in Lyden Washington and continues to teach and perform.

ABOUT LEAH:

Leah began her piano studies at age seven, and has since also studied violin, voice, percussion, and composition. Leah received her bachelor's degree in music from the UBC School of Music where she studied piano with Terence Dawson and Rena Sharon. She has also studied privately with several other notable musicians, including Douglas Finch (improvisation, Trinity Laban), Stephen Chatman (composition), Edward Top (composition) and Serra Hwang (composition). Leah’s breadth of experience leads to a uniquely nuanced performance practice and produces work that is lyrical, insightful, and committed.

A pedagogue at heart, Leah also enjoys fostering musical awareness and discipline in her students. Her primary goal as a teacher is to help students develop an intrinsic source of curiosity and confidence that will be with them for the rest of their lives. Natalie Bateman began her musical journey at the age of 5, learning both the piano and violin. She learned piano from her grandmother and violin from her mother, and is excited to continue that family legacy. After two years at Brigham Young University, she's now pursuing a Bachelors in Music Education at Western Washington University. With nearly a decade of teaching experience, Natalie has shared her passion for music both in private lessons and by directing and coaching orchestras. Her teaching philosophy centers on fostering a love for music by tailoring lessons to each student's unique strengths and interests. Michael is a classically trained pianist with a Bachelors in Piano Performance from Western Washington University.  He began studying at the age of 4 with his dad before eventually moving to study with teachers in Chicago and in Seattle.  Michael has enjoyed playing a wide variety of music, especially pieces by composers such as Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, and also enjoys modern and contemporary composers.  At Western, he enjoyed collaborating with string players and singers, as well as small ensembles like the New Music Ensemble.  Michael enjoys teaching students of all ages to help them become well rounded musicians and to help them play and discover music that they love.  He has studied with Milica Jelaca Jovanovic, Jeffrey Gilliam, and Kay Zavislak.  Michael teaches piano lessons in Mount Vernon, WA, and piano lessons online.

 Eva Sauvé is a classically trained pianist who started playing at age 9 and has studied piano performance at Western Washington University. Eva enjoys playing the works of Bach, Beethoven, and Debussy, and loves collaborating with string players and vocalists. Eva teaches students of all ages how to play with ease and expression. She strives to make each lesson positive and fun, and ultimately wants her students to be able to play music they’re passionate about. ​ABOUT PEYTON:
For over a decade Peyton has assisted students in fulfilling their  life-long dreams or taking their first steps in music. Her piano and  violin students have ranged from ages 4 to adult and from beginner to  advanced levels. Over the years, she has had the privilege of working  with a diverse set of students, including those with developmental  challenges and impaired mobility. These experiences have taught her to  be adaptive and creative in the moment, and how to engineer lesson plans  that best accommodate her students. In High School Peyton played violin  in the Tacoma Youth Symphony and Pierce College Orchestra. After  graduating high school with an Associate of Arts Degree, Peyton studied  Piano performance and Music Composition at Western Washington  University, where she was also a member of the Western Washington  University symphony and University Treble Choir. Peyton presently works  in the greater Bellingham area, as a freelance performer, composer, and  private piano and violin instructor while completing her Music  Composition degree for Film, TV, and Video Games at Berklee Online.   Peyton teaches piano lessons in Mount Vernon, WA and online.

​ABOUT JOANNA:
Joanna Zagelow’s piano career started when she was only five years old.  In 1996 she opened her own piano studio with great success and became a full time piano teacher. Joanna has always had a dedication to being the best teacher she can be and in 2008 she received the honor of becoming state and nationally certified with the Music Teachers National Association.  Joanna has studied with Linda Wilson, Shirley Haley, and Nancy Wilson.
