Edit - the 8 year old I mentioned in my initial review is now almost 14 and we are still so happy with EMS. Two more siblings have also joined in taking lessons from Joanna, and our fourth child will start in two years. This school and Joanna are so special to our family. She’ll pour into your kids and help teach them not just piano, but help develop them into better humans as they grow. 10/5 stars!!We love Ms. Joanna! My eight year old son has been taking piano lessons from her for two years now. She nurtures and challenges him, and keeps him excited to learn. It's been a wonderful experience and we are so grateful to have found Evergreen Music Studios!
Started our son here to take drum lessons. He has now been taking lessons from Nathan for 8 years. Nathan has been great teaching not just drums but anything percussion. I also took Bongo lessons from Nathan. I recommend Nathan and Evergreen Music School to anyone of all ages.
Nathan Matson has been an incredible drum teacher for our son, Jacob. He has taught him to be a true musician! In addition, Nathan's partnership with Evergreen Music School has been great. They are very organized, clear in their communication and make the whole experience very simple. We highly recommend Nathan and Evergreen!
Ben Rosenblatt teaches piano for my two kids 11 and 13. He's taught my 11 yo for 3 years, and my 13 yo picked it up a year ago and has made staggering progress! He works differently with each kid, as they are very different kids, and manages to be both relaxed and serious and friendly. He makes my 11 year old feel great by talking with her in a "we musicians..." way, and has taught both of them them more music theory than I've ever known in my life. I feel like my kids are getting a more solid foundation in Piano than I ever got. David Zagelow tries hard to make sure parents have a smooth and logical business experience, and is very responsive. What a great studio!
My 6-year old daughter has been taking piano lessons with Mrs. Joanna for over a year. My daughter always looks forward to her weekly lesson and loves showing off what she has learned. Mrs. Joanna is always very patient and kind in her teaching. I couldn't recommend her more!
