EMS Health Policies

Let's help keep everyone healthy!

These policies go into effect March 12th, 2022

Evergreen Music School has these health policies in place with all of our students and teachers in mind.  Some students and teachers may have health concerns that you are unaware of.  Please be respectful of other people’s decisions about their personal health.

  • Face masks are required to be worn in common areas.  Every person above the age of two who enters our music school must wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth.
  • If you are sick for any reason please do not come to an in person lesson.  Your teacher will offer you an online lesson or a makeup credit to use at a later date.  Please wait 48 hours after your last symptom before returning to in person lessons.
  • Face masks may be optional in private lessons.  Each teacher will discuss with their students whether or not they require face masks to be worn during lessons.  If a teacher requires you to wear a face mask in your lesson then you must wear a face mask.
  • If you would like to wear a face mask in your lesson please communicate that to your teacher.  Your teacher will also wear a face mask if you ask them to.
  • If anyone is sick in your household we ask that you communicate this with your teacher.  Teachers may allow you to come to an in person lesson but you must wear a face mask if someone in your household is sick.  Your teacher may also offer you an online lesson or makeup credit for that day.
  • Piano keys will be sanitized in between each student.

What if I can't wear a mask or don't want to?

We are happy to teach students online who can not wear a mask or do not want to.  Our priority is the safety of our students, our teachers, and our community.

We can't do this without your help.

Please don't be offended if someone asks you to put on a mask, mask up, or pull up your mask.  We aren't here to debate feelings about personal health.  We are here to teach music with Safety, Education, and Fun in mind.  Right now safety includes wearing a mask in all common areas and possibly during in person music lessons.
